Last night's full moon ritual was a beautiful one. We charged cinnamon sticks with memories and thoughts of warmth (since it has been so terribly cold lately); lit a candle with a prayer that the stray cats in Winnipeg will be able to find warmth, shelter, and help in this bitter weather; and offered up several prayers at the altar, including a prayer that one of our members who was not present would find peace and financial stability in difficult times.

I found the article this excerpt comes from through Yahoo!Answers, and I think it's extremely interesting. The author is making a valid point, at least in my experience. I'd love to hear what other people think.

Full Moon Altar - 12.22.07 Full Moon Altar - 12.22.07
Altar for the Full Moon ritual that fell on Yule :)

A very wonderful Yule energy present during the ritual. Good energy and good workings. Included: charging a bracelet for healing for the bracelets owner, charging NL's traveling BOS with creativity and hope for the coming year of workings, charging a Wishing Well Yule gift for use for the first time, charging a small cat statue with healing energy for an upcoming surgery to go well. Also a pledge was given at this time to contribute on at least a monthly basis in a group or individual effort to give back to our community, local or global as we choose during the coming year. And then a 5 questions session. All in all a very good evening and working. Blessed be!

Hello, all:

We've had a chance to test-drive this particular LiveJournal layout for a few weeks now, and I was wondering if folks liked it. I find the white-on-black text a bit irksome myself, and am inclined to change the format to something with a white-on-black text, but I wanted to get some input from you first.

If I don't hear from anyone by Thursday evening, I'll start playing around with the layout anyway. :-)

Hello, all:

Apparently there's going to be a ritual and labyrinth walk on Thursday, December 20th at 6:30 pm at 755 Elm Street (which is just north of Grant Avenue and four blocks west of Cambridge), an Anglican church. Is anyone interested in going out? It was in the announcements on the Faith pages in the Winnipeg Free Press, and might be a nice opportunity to go out and meet some new folks. :-)

Yule Altar - 12.15.2007 Yule Altar - 12.15.2007
Yule was hosted at Sprite's a week early in order to accommodate the hectic holiday season and family gatherings happening at this time of year. The Ritual was lovely and turned out very well.

Full Moon Altar - 11.24.2007 Full Moon Altar - 11.24.2007
An image of the Altar captured before the ritual began.

(I just tried the scrapbook post to lj feature and it turned out pretty good!)

Last night the ritual was very nice. I truly enjoyed it and am happy everyone came to my home.

Workings included: Cleansing and consecrating a new tarot deck for Sprite, a protection spell for Northlight, a prosperity spell for Ro, channeling a wish for creative energy into Chai tea for Prairie Crow, a prayer for an easy passing or healing of a newly diagnosed cancer in Br's uncle, and a request to aid and assist Ji in an upcoming difficult matter at work.

I was just so happy that it turned out very well and the food was all delicious thank you everyone for coming and for sharing. *smiles*
